Amusan wins 100m hurdles in Berlin.

Tobi Amusan, the current World Champion and gold medalist at the Commonwealth Games, easily won the women’s 100-meter hurdles event at yesterday’s ISTAF Berlin meet by more than one-tenth of a second. Amusan finished first in 12.45 seconds (-0.3), followed by American Tia Jones in 12.58 seconds and Jamaican Megan Tapper in 12.66 seconds.

Ese Brume, a fellow Commonwealth Games gold medalist at the same competition, came in second in the women’s long jump. Malaika Mihambo won the competition by jumping 6.92 meters farther than Brume, who finished second with a distance of 6.78 meters. The German only managed one legal jump in six attempts, which was also her very first jump.
