Burna Boy announces new album release

The Grammy Award-winning African musical prodigy, Burna Boy has announced the release of a new album in a very unusual manner.

The ‘last last’ crooner took to his X (formerly known as Twitter) handle to inform his fans to anticipate a new album dropping in 24 hours.

He succinctly passed the information without any ado, using just three words, “Album dropping 12am”.

The announcement comes more or less like a prank, judging by Burna Boy’s antecedent in releasing a new album. He announced this particular one in a very unceremonious manner. Also, looking at the day he wants to drop the album (Tuesday), one would wonder whether it is deliberate or accidental.

Fans however, seems so enthusiastic about the announcement judging by their reactions. Someone retweeted with great excitement “So finally some good music dropping tonight 12am. Another fan asked the African Giant what they have done  to deserve such an unexpected benevolence from him and humorously ended the tweet with “We will not rest tonight”

Recall that Burna Boy recently dropped a banger in kick starting the 2024 as he released a hit single ‘Higher’ which he used to express his profound gratitude for the success he has enjoyed in his musical career. In the music video, he took trip back to his hometown of Port Harcourt.
