Davido, Asake, Tyla, Ayra Starr and others bags their first Grammy Nominations
The Afrobeat genre has once more breached a new phase after recording over 5 nominees at the 2024 Grammy Annual Award nominations.
However, most of these nominees have emerged to have bagged their first-ever Grammy nominations and it’s a close view of bliss.

On 10th November 2023, the likes of Asake, Olamide, Davido, Musa Keys, Ayra Starr and the South African new gem, Tyla bagged a whopping number of nominations where Davido emerged to be the most nominated among all.
All the Stars graced the the category Best African Music Performance where Ayra Starr earned her place as a contender for the prize with her hit song ‘Rush’, Asake and Olamide bagged their place in the category with their song ‘Amapiano’, Davido and Musa Keys bagged their place in this category with their song ‘Unavailable’. South African new Gem, Tyla as anticipated earned her place in this category with her hit song ‘Water’.
Away from this category, Davido emerged to be the new nominee with a vast number of 3 nominees also directed to his fourth Studio album ‘Timeless’ and its hit tracks ‘Feel’ and ‘Unavailable’ which graced the ‘Best Global Album’, Best African performance, and Best Music Performance.
Nigerians and other Afrobeat enthusiasts have gathered in vast numbers to bid their joy over the new dimension.
