“I am allowed to get on my knees for multiple reasons”- Lil Nas X
Popular American rapper and singer, Lil Nas X has declared that he is allowed to get on my knees for multiple reasons.
This was as the “Old town road” crooner dropped a surprising new release via his social media accounts, sharing a snippet of a new Christian song.
As fans marveled at his latest switch to a more spiritual diction for his lyrics, Like Nas X wrote, “yall mind if i enter my christian era?” as he captioned the clip of himself from the passenger’s seat of a car, stepping out to sing the acositic ballad.
Part of the unreleased songs’ lyrics sings, “Father, stretch my hands. The lonely road seems to last the longest / Help me with my plans / Everything seems to go to nowhere / Oh, free me from worry and wanting pity / Free me from all this envy in me / I don’t want these feelings / I don’t want these feelings / I call on angels / I’m trying hard to face my pain, yeah / Give me hope when I feel / Give me hope when I feel less.”
While some loyal fans cheered the singers’ new craft including one X user who shared, “bro took a stripper pole to hell & found the stairway to heaven … character development fr,” others, were not so supportive of the transition due to the artist being a proud gay man.
But according to the “Scoop” rapper, however, his sexuality doesn’t effect his ability to make spiritual music.
He wrote in an X post, “Making Christian music does not mean I can’t suck d**k no more. The two are not mutually exclusive. I am allowed to get on my knees for multiple reasons.”
“My brother really opened doors for a lot of people. Yeah, he opened a door for me. What I mean by that, like, I’m not gay, though, you feel me? I’m bisexual. He helped me be real with myself. My brother made me more open to it.”
