Wunmi, the widow of the late Nigerian singer Mohbad, has tearfully appealed to friends, fans, and well-wishers to refrain from making any negative comments about her late husband.

On August 18, 2024, Wunmi shared a heartfelt message on her Instagram story, appealing to fans and supporters of her late husband in the midst of the swirling controversies and accusations following his untimely passing.

She emphasized that showing disrespect towards Mohbad in his passing is not just a sign of disrespect towards him as an individual but also reflects poorly on his entire family.

She then asked them to honour his memory by refraining from making negative comments and spreading defamatory remarks. She also emphasized that she does not endorse any negative statements about her husband, who tragically passed away in September 2023.

This comes a few days after the family made a heartfelt plea to anyone considering commemorating the first death anniversary of the late singer to respect their privacy and allow them to mourn their son in peace.
