“Preparing for the greatest comeback in music” – Foxy Brown
Foxy Brown has hinted that her absence from the music space was only a time for her to prepare herself for a remarkable comeback into the game.
The American rapper stated this in series of social media posts recently, claiming that her absence would soon meet its end.
Originally Inga DeCarlo Fung Marchand and born September 6, 1978, Foxy Brown hasn’t released a full-length project in 15 years.
Her last studio album was 2001’s Broken Silence, while her last full-length release was the 2008 mixtape Brooklyn’s Don Diva.
Sharing on her Instagram story, the rapper wrote:
“QUIETLY RAISING MY BEAUTIFUL GIRL, PREPARING FOR THE GREATEST COMEBACK IN MUSIC!” she wrote. “HOP OFF MY DICK!”
Also in the above story, the Grammy nominee addressed rumors about her and JAY-Z having dated early in their careers when they were frequent collaborations.
She wrote, “FAKE FAIRYTALE NEWS! I UNDERSTAND THE VOID I’VE LEFT IN MY ABSENCE. BUT THE FOX & HOV LIES ARE PATHETIC AT THIS POINT!”
According to reports, Foxy Brown had a very close relationship with the Brooklyn MC in the mid-’90s that saw them appear on each other’s records a few times. Some fans believed a romance was brewing between the two, but she has denied the claims every time they’ve been brought up over the years.
The rumors resurfaced in 2021 when she posted a throwback picture of herself and the mogul embracing one another on social media for his birthday, writing: “Thank You Hovy For all the G that you taught me So my PEN be STUPID.”
As people began questioning the intentions behind the post and even pulling Beyoncé into the conversation, Brown put a halt to all the chatter before it got out of hand.
“And I love B,” she wrote in a follow-up Story. “Hop off my dick.”
