The Billionaire Senator’s wife again took to her Instagram handle this morning to respond to the attack, which came after she made an Instagram video urging Nigerians to protest peacefully and eschew violence during the end bad governance and hunger protest, which kicked off on the 1st of August across several state capitals in the country, including the federal capital territory.

The actress received lots of criticism from social media users; some described her as an “opportunist who married her grandfather,” questioning whether she could have married such an old man if the country was good. Others stated that she ought not to say anything as her husband constitutes the bad governance being protested against.

In her reaction through an Instagram video, the actress said she wasn’t denying the fact that she has been privileged. However, she mentioned another source of her concerns, which included paying her nanny, securities, and others. She also emphasized on what transpired in Kano state, where protesters were seen hoisting the Russian flags and reportedly calling on Putin to come and save them.

The actress asked if that is indeed what Nigerians really want, adding that whatever happens in the North has the capacity to affect the whole country.

’Hoisting the Russian flag! Is that what we want? Mind you, whatever happens in the North can get to you. I preached against violence and ignorant Nigerians said it’s because I am privileged and opportune. Yes the fact remains that I am privileged and opportuned  but that doesn’t stop me from understanding that my nanny  needs to be paid extra or that my gateman or my cooks need to be catered for because of insecurity and extra bills to be paid in Nigeria.

The point remains that Nigeria cannot be changed in a day and not by one man. I am not speaking for the government, neither am I speaking for you people to love me because I don’t need it. I am just stating the obvious fact and that is the truth.

The earlier we all realize that this protest is turning into something else, the better for us all.
