Gunmen raid Army Barracks, Abducts popular business mogul
On the night of Thursday, 18th January 2024, armed unknown gunmen raided the vicinity of Hilltop Phase 2 Extension of the Nigerian Army Post-Housing Estate and abducted a popular businesswoman.
The toll of insecurities in Nigeria has continued to torment the peace of its civilians as abductors have grown vast and operating in full influence.

This has stretched to the grand of the barracks where reporters disclosed that a group of unknown gunmen raided the location and Kidnapped their target.
News spreading via all the social media platforms disclosed that the attack lasted for over 1 hour as they were spotted shooting recklessly to scare people.
Other sources disclosed that they never intended to Abduct the woman but did kidnap her because her husband they targeted was not in the house.
An eyewitness reported:
“Yesterday at about 9 pm, some kidnappers entered this estate and kidnapped a woman at the Hilltop Extension.”
“The target was the husband but they couldn’t get him as he was not around, but as the woman was driving into her compound, they got her.”
“As her son started shouting, they too started shooting.”
“They went away with her through the hillside.”
“Soldiers have been deployed to trace them; hopefully they will be apprehended. The CCTV in the house captured them.”
All the operations happened before the Nigerian Army arrived.
Meanwhile, in the other news, the Supreme Court has verified the election of the Ogun State election, Dapo Abiodun.
Over the effect of the recent election, People Democratic Party’s candidate, Ladi Adebutu appealed to the Supreme Court for possible re-election in the 99 polling unit where the election was allegedly cancelled.
The Appeal Court, Lagos Division, also in the recent encounter had in a split decision on November 24th, 2023, confirmed Abiodun’s re-election but Joseph Ikyegh dismissed the appeal filed by the PDP and its governorship candidate.
