POLITICS: Peter Obi expresses his displeasure with Nigeria embracing grain donation from Ukraine, Governor Bago supports him
The ex-Nigerian Presidential candidate, Peter Obi has bid his disappointment on Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration which has sparked reactions among concerned civilians so far.
In their recent meeting where the president of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu appeared as one of the hosts, Peter Obi expressed his disappointment in the motive spreading that the Nigerian government accepted tons of wheat donation from Ukraine.

According to his utterances, he is quite disappointed that Nigeria has retarded to the point of abandoning its natural resources to accept donation of what its land can naturally produce.
He also voided that he was way too concerned with the fact considering that the country is still at war yet they are still able to supply wheat to Nigeria.
He stated the statistics that sparked reactions among already fuming civilians.
Since the administration of Bola Tinubu took over, Nigerian economic has been on a bad brink of recession which has affected civilians.

Governor Bago’s speech
In the other phase, the Governor of Zamfara State, Mohammed Umar Bago of All Progressive Congress stood with Peter Obi declaring that it’s a shame for Nigeria to accept the 25k tons of wheat from war struggling nation, Ukraine.
Speaking further about his displeasure, he outlined that Peter maybe be disliked but what he is said is a bitter truth.
He suggested that Nigerians need to start feeding themselves before its exceeds the breaching points.
His words:
“My boss, you are very right on what you’ve said. We have no reason to be poor. People may not like you, but they must hear you. What you say is the gospel truth.”
“It is time we tell ourselves the basic truth. We need to feed ourselves. It is a shame for people like Ukraine in war to be giving us food.”
“Nigeria needs to be productive. You cannot be out of poverty unless you start to produce. I’m not an advocate of handouts and palliative. I don’t believe in it.”
Nigerians couldn’t hold their nerves and reacted massively via all the social media platforms.
