Terence Crawford equals to free agent

United States’ Terence Crawford is presently a free agent, according to a recent announcement.

The pound-for-pound superstar was awaiting a rematch with Errol Spence whom he defeated in their first bout, but it is now official that the rematch is cancelled.

This is because the time frame for the rematch, which was specified in the fight contract, is now past.

Spence’s condition following a cataract surgery he underwent made it impossible for the fight to be allowed, bringing the delay that finally stopped things from happening.

According to ESPN’s Mike Coppinger, Crawford is free from his contract with the PBC.

‘Crawford signed a one-fight deal with PBC to meet Errol Spence last July, and after “Bud” won the undisputed welterweight championship, Spence exercised the rematch clause.

‘However, Spence underwent cataract surgery in January and the scheduling window provided by the rematch clause has since expired, meaning Crawford, like Canelo, is also a network and promotional free agent.’

Crawford could join Matchroom or any other company.
