‘We don’t give a damn’: Daniel Dubois’ coach on calling the client a quitter
Daniel Dubois’ coach found no reason why the heavyweight contender should be called a quitter, but has announced that they do not care about the bad label.
Dubois who quit during his bout with Joe Joyce was beaten by Oleksander Usyk last year.
WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury had reacted to the latter bout in those days, saying that Dubois quit.
However, after Dubois defeated big Jarrell Miller on December 23, some believe that Dubois did not deserve being called a quitter.
Speaking to Boxing Social, Dubois’ trainer Don Charles said that he and Dubois do not care about the name.
‘Anybody who cares to take note or not, I’m not an arrogant or rude person, but quite frankly me dear we don’t give a damn,’ he said.
Don Charles also mentioned during the conversation that Dubois proved his worth by defeating Miller.
‘When everyone’s calling you something that you know fully well that you’re not, you’re going to go to bed on your own and question yourself so you have to come out and prove it, and he proved it to himself. He said after the fight “I am no quitter, I shut up all the doubters.”’
Many fans believe that Dubois is one of the important heavyweights of the moment.
