Liverpool player Joe Gomez is preparing to punish Manchester United.

The Merseyside team lost during their last match with United to the surprise of most fans. Liverpool were beaten 4–3 by Erik Ten Hag’s boys and will face them again at Old Trafford for a Premier League contest.

Gomez was being interviewed recently ahead of the match. The interviewer asked him, ‘Was [the past match] a frustrating match because you had chances to take control of it but never quite did? It didn’t have to end the way it did.’

Gomez said the following in reply:

“Yeah, I think that’s the most frustrating aspect of it but it’s a reminder that we have to be ruthless and take our chances to see out games, and things can swing so quickly. So, hopefully, we have control again and we can get in that position to punish this time.”

Liverpool currently sits in the second row on the Premier League table.
