Liverpool Manager Jürgen Klopp Speaks: ‘We are two or three metres ahead, but the finishing line isn’t in sight really’
Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp shared his thoughts amid the hot Premier League race. He mentioned that Liverpool ‘are two or three metres ahead, but the finishing line isn’t in sight’.
The Merseyside Reds still have up to 9 games before the season ends.
‘It just feels like we are in the middle of a race, part of a race, we are two or three metres ahead, but the finishing line isn’t in sight really,’ Klopp said.
‘I feel good about the situation, the team, the way we play, so many things I like, but being two points above whoever is nothing I’m really thinking about.
‘Being in the title race, it’s the best place to be, to be honest, because everyone is dreaming of something like that. It’s good, it’s the result of the football the boys of played.
‘I can’t see our schedule being easy. We play tomorrow, Sunday, Thursday, Sunday, Wednesday, Saturday at 12.30. I can’t see where this is easy.
‘We have to get through these types of periods but there’s nothing decided and everybody knows that. All three want to win it and we will see who can do it.’
The German is planning to leave the club at the end of the season. He has won the Carabao Cup this season, and is hotly behind the Premier League trophy.
