Kylian Mbappe leaves PSG during the summer, Arsenal confirms bidding situation
The Gunners’ gaffer Mikel Arteta confirmed that Arsenal is interested in French forward Kylian Mbappe who leaves PSG during the summer as a free agent.
Mbappe who attracted the admiration of Real Madrid, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Saudi Arabia announced recently that he would not sign another contract with Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain.
Ahead of becoming a free agent during the summer, Mbappe who recently disclosed that he had no negotiation going on with any club, did not want to keep fans in suspense any further.
Among the key clubs who have shown big interest in the World Cup winner is Real Madrid who have placed bids on the table to acquire the player’s services but were turned down.
Many think that Mbappe’s likely choice during the summer transfer window would be Real Madrid, but Arsenal hoped to win over the versatile Frenchman using two things at least.
One of the things Gunners hoped to attract the goal scorer was the Premier League trophy they were hoping to lift. The second was the fact that Mbappe liked Thierry Henry in a very big way, and that Henry spent his best days at Arsenal.
Speaking on Friday, Arteta replied as follows when asked about Arsenal’s interest in Mbappe:
‘When there is a player of that calibre we always have to be in the conversation. But as you said it looks in a different way.’
The path Mbappe would take is hidden under the grass to fans, but the player possibly has a plan .
