Famous MMA superstar on Mike Tyson versus Jake Paul: ‘I wish Mike Tyson well’
Famous fighter Conor McGregor wishes Mike Tyson well. Tyson is preparing to face Jake Paul in Texas.
Tyson’s last bout happened in 2020 against Roy Jones Jr, but the 57-year old will face Paul who is currently 27.
McGregor did not like the idea of such a match, like many, but only reacted as follows while asked his thoughts concerning the fight:
‘Oh jeez. It’s a bit strange, you know. My interest is low.
‘I don’t know. I don’t understand it.
‘I wish well for Mike [Tyson].’
Tyson announced the bizarre bout recently to the surprise of global fans.
‘I’m very much looking forward to stepping into the ring with Jake Paul at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas,’ he began.
‘He’s grown significantly as a boxer over the years, so it will be a lot of fun to see what the will and ambition of a ‘kid’ can do with the experience and aptitude of a GOAT.
‘It’s a full circle moment that will be beyond thrilling to watch, as I started him on his boxing journey on the undercard of my fight with Roy Jones and now, I plan to finish him.’
It is easy to assume that Tyson’s reason for accepting the fight borders on money instead of an opportunity to beat an upcoming talent in the old school way.
Whatever people think, they are likely to watch the match. Do you believe that Tyson can beat the YouTuber turned pro boxer?
