Usman Baba, the Inspector General of Police (IG-P), has directed that anyone or any organization selling police uniforms and accessories without a license must be detained and prosecuted.

According to him, the IG-P had ordered all Commands, Formations, the IG-P Monitoring Unit, Provost Marshals, and X-Squad to make sure that offenders within their jurisdiction were promptly apprehended and prosecuted in accordance with the law.

The IG-P warned people to stop immediately or risk facing the full force of the law if they continue to make films or skits that negatively characterize police officers without first applying for and receiving a permit letter for such presentations.

Baba affirmed that the force would work to ensure that the law would be followed, and he added that the FPRO had been instructed to assure fast approval of all requests to use police equipment in motion pictures.
