Wizkid: Five Headies awards

On Sunday evening at the 15th Headies Awards, Afropop singer Wizkid took home five awards. The Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta hosted the awards event this year.

With a total of 20 awards, the singer of “Ojuelegba” maintains his record as the Headies’ most-awarded artist.

The smash record, “Essence,” which Wizkid and Tems co-wrote, earned awards for best collaboration, best R&B single, and song of the year, respectively.

Meanwhile, he won Best Afrobeat Album and Album of the Year for Made in Lagos (Deluxe Edition) (Made in Lagos).
Wizkid won his first Headies in the Next Rated Category for the song “Holla at your Boy” in 2011.
