PSquare: Our Retirement from music is still far away.
According to PSquare, they won’t be retiring anytime soon.
Peter and Paul Okoye, twin brothers who play in the R&B and Afropop band PSquare, started out as “Double P,” “P&P,” and “Da Pees” before settling on their current name in 2003. Their debut studio album, “Last Nite,” was released in 2003.
Two big singles, “Senorita” and “Igbedu,” were released from the nine-track, 41 minutes, 17-second album.
From that point until their split five years ago, the twin sensations released a number of more albums.
In 2015, there were preliminary reports of their breakup, and by 2016, the PSquare group had allegedly broken up due to a dispute over the position of their manager.
PSquare reaffirmed the love they receive in a recent post in which they released video of their performance in North Carolina and said they would be the ones to determine when to “drop the mic,” which, by the way, won’t be happening any time soon.
“We are the OG’s before the IG’s… Thank you North Carolina for the love! forget it! PSQUARE is loved by many! Retirement is far away! Na we go decide when to retire! #Psquare100CitiesWorldTour,” they wrote.
