Mohamed Salah’s hope of getting supplies into Gaza dashed by a new development

Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah recently made a video calling for the sending of supplies into the Gaza strip, where many are displaced, diseased, and wounded, but a good reply to that call has met a bronze wall. Salah donated an undisclosed amount of money for the benefit of the stranded people of Gaza.

More than hundreds of vehicles carrying supplies are presently stranded after it happened that only twenty could be allowed to pass into the troubled area. There is a huge internal displacement of families in the country, and food and water are very scarce.

Mohamed Salah rightly said in his video that the sight being birthed by the war that has broken out in the Middle East is very disturbing. Hamas raided Israel on the 7th of October, killed many people, took a lot of hostages, and left behind both lifeless military personnel and civilians who were not expecting the world-record invasion.

Security analysts are still wondering how a terrorist group was able to stage such a coordinated attack that was carried out simultaneously on land, air, and water.

It is still dangerous to send soldiers into Gaza or to send health personnel, and about sixteen UN peacekeeping workers have long been killed by Hamas.

Speaking on missing people, some of whom are deceased, the Isreali Defence Forces said, ‘The IDF stresses the extreme complexity that comes with locating information about missing persons. Among them are a number of bodies in [Israeli military facility] Camp Shura that have not yet been identified and bodies that have not been brought from the field.

‘At this point, the IDF is still conducting operations to find and locate bodies near the area of the Gaza strip.’

Not long ago, the United States stopped two land cruise missiles in defence of Israel’s airways. People assume it is another terrorist group called Houthi, a Yemeni terrorist group.

‘Whether the Iranians directed them to do this or whether this is a bit of free enterprise on their part we do not know,’ said an American spokesman.

World officials are to meet in Mohamed Salah’s country to discuss how to bring peace to the troubled zone, but the discussions might take a long time, and many deaths might take place before the needy in Palestine get help after being put in a bad situation by the Israeli counterattack.

Among those going to the Cairo Peace Summit are Palestine’s leader, Mahmoud Abbas, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, French foreign minister Catherine Colonna, and Japanese foreign minister Yoko Kamikawa.

‘I plan to visit Egypt to take part in the Cairo Peace Summit,’ said minister Yoko Kamikawa. ‘Which will be hosted by the Egyptian government to discuss the situation surrounding Israel and Palestine.

‘I intend to contribute to debate aimed at improving humanitarian conditions in Gaza, which is an urgent issue, as well as securing the safety of ordinary citizens and calming down the situation swiftly.’

However, the United Nations disclosed that they will negotiate with relevant sides to make sure that help reaches the stranded people of Gaza.

‘We are in deep and advanced negotiations with all relevant sides to ensure that an aid operation into Gaza starts as quickly as possible and with the right conditions. We are encouraged by reports that the different sides are nearing an agreement on the modalities, and that a first delivery is due to start in the next day or so,’ said a spokesman for the UN.
