Anthony Joshua to Ngannou: ‘I break peoples’ eye sockets’
Former three-belt heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua sent Francis Ngannou a message following the latter’s recent statement.
Ngannou had told the three-time world heavyweight champion that he was going to be dealing with the same blow that dropped Tyson Fury to the canvas last year’s October.
Everyone was surprised when Ngannou knocked Fury down during Ngannou’s pro boxing debut last October, but Joshua has reminded Ngannou that he Joshua was very dangerous.
Speaking to Boxing News, Joshua said:
‘I think people underestimate me, they think they can just come and put pressure on me because I am not mentally all that or this.
‘And as much as there is hype around Ngannou, he still has to come through me. He is looking at someone who knows how to fight.
‘I am a power puncher myself. I break peoples’ eye sockets. I broke Wallin’s nose and eye socket, Helenius got sparked out, and I f***ing ruined Dillian Whyte’s career with an uppercut. The list goes on.
‘He has to deal with me and that is what is going to make it a good fight.’
Anthony Joshua’s loss of his lineal heavyweight title revealed the fearful part of him the larger public had not known.
He even went as far as complaining that the expectations and words of fans and pundits are putting him under severe tension.
However, his superb performance against Otto Wallin on December 23 proved to many that the former champion could still become a heavyweight champion.
