BREAKING: Court orders an immediate arrest of Rivers Chief Of Staff, Explosion rocks Imo community
The Federal High Court has issued a bench warrant on Chief of Staff, Edison Ehie to Governor, Siminalayi Fubara over the recent fire that razed the Rivers State House of Assembly complex.
On Wednesday, Justice Emeka Nwite also ordered the arrest, investigation and trial of Jinjiri Bala, Happy Benedict, Progress Joseph, Adokiye Oyagiri, and Chibuike Peter who is also known as Rambo.

The order was deployed because of an ex parte application by the Inspector General of Police filed against the erstwhile factional speaker of the state assembly and the other suspects.
The lawsuit, which was filed by Senior Advocate of Nigeria and Deputy Commissioner of Police, Simon Lough, was hinged on sections 37, 113, 114, 84, and 184 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015, Section 35 of the Nigerian Constitution and 32 of the Police Act, 2020 as disclosed by Daily Trust.
The IGP also charged the defendants, however, the offences of conspiracy, arson, terrorism, and murder of a Superintendent of Police, Bako Agbashim and five other police informants are said to be at large.
Other five police informants in the Ahoada community of the state were identified to be Charles Osu, Ogbonna Eja, Idaowuka Felix, Paul Victor Chibuogu and Saturday Edi.
Explosion Rocks Imo residence
Another Explosion of illegal oil bunkering transpired in the Obitti Community in Ohaji Egbema area Council of Imo state.
The explosion as of reports claimed the lives of many and destroyed landmarks and properties worth a convincing currency.
This transpired lately on 30th January 2024 after an open fire exchange sparked it. According to an eyewitness, the explosion originated from hoodlums who had dug an illegal oil hole in exchange for scooping crude oil for their theft tanker.
Their mission was interrupted and challenged by rival hoodlums who exchanged fire with them. While they were at the point of gunshot combat, an explosion transpired spreading, killing and injuring many.
The police department is yet to confirm the actual number of deaths rate recorded at the scene as they continue to deploy nothing but a proper investigation.
