Filip Hrgovic gets list of opponents from Saudi Royal Court official
Saudi’s chairman of General Authority for Entertainment, Turki Alalshikh, said Filip Hrgovic was free to choose an opponent from a particular list of heavyweights.
IBF mandatory challenger Filip Hrgovic is waiting for the undisputed world heavyweight championship bout between Tyson Fury and Oleksander Usyk to pass before facing the IBF champion, but will have to wait longer after an unfortunate development.
News from Fury’s camp recently revealed that the Brit would not make the fight which was scheduled for February 17. Now it has been shifted to May 18, but Turki Alalshikh tried to give Hrgovic opportunity to be busy till then.
In his comment to MMA Hour, Alalshikh said the following:
‘I give him the option to fight on the undercard on March 8. Now I call him for six names, choose one of them, accept, and we want them on the 8th of March.
‘Hrgovic Dubois, Hrgovic Bakole, Hrgovic Sanchez, Hrgovic Miller, Kabayel Hrgovic, Hrgovic Jared Anderson. If both of them accept we are ready to deliver the fight to the fans on March 8. We are not playing.’
Hrgovic is yet to reply.
