Carl Froch names pro boxers he would like to train
World boxing champion turned pundit Carl Froch mentioned some pro boxers he would like to train.
Froch was among the many pro boxers who turned their attention to punditry after retirement, and went on to become a very familiar name in the sport as a result of his prolific comments on what goes on in and out of the ring.
Though the Englishman had not signalled he wanted to add coaching to his activities, he named several known fighters among those he would like to train if he were a trainer.
In answer to a question of which boxers he would have liked to train if he were a coach, Froch said the following while speaking on his YouTube channel Froch on Fighting:
‘Someone like Gervonta Davis who’s a real fighting machine, and a bit of an animal.
‘I’d love to work alongside someone like Dmitry Bivol, or even Terence Crawford too, just to be part of that action and be involved in it.
‘I’d love to experience being a trainer in an elite-level fighter’s world title fight. Rob McCracken [Froch’s trainer] lived a career of becoming a world champion though me.
‘With Rob taking me from being a nothing pro to British champion, Commonwealth champion, a world title challenger against [Jean] Pascal, and then on that journey, he was living every fight, every punch.
‘The journey that he had with me, if I could do that with someone else – that would be awesome.’
Fans would agree they are approximately big fighters.
