WWE: Zelina Vega defends Bianca Belair following racist attack
Zelina Vega of the WWE spoke in defense of fellow superstar Bianca Belair who was racially abused on Instagram.
Belair was included in the cover picture of WWE’s latest version of a game called WWE 2K24 which was posted on Instagram via WWE Games’ handle.
This picture did not please a particular commenter who assumed that the woman’s inclusion in the cover design was only because of her skin colour.
Belair who is also called ‘EST of WWE’ once won the WWE Raw Women’s Championship title and did appear with Cody Rhodes and Rhea Ripley on the said cover picture.
The fire-starting comment which many saw as racist was backed with concurring replies, pulling both fans and superstars into a big argument.
This is why Zelina Vegas spoke up as follows:
‘Bianca is one of the best this business and WORLD has ever seen.
‘When I think of a hard worker, stand out, path paver, and someone who is genuinely a proud representation of her culture, it’s Bianca. She deserves everything she’s gotten and MORE. She EARNED the name EST.

‘The “fans” that took part in the blatant disrespect and hate towards her and other black men and women should be ashamed and embarrassed. It’s disgusting.
‘But your hate will never EVER dim their shine. We love you B. You continue to be an inspiration to all of us.’
A good number of superstars also showed their support for Bianca Belair.
