Cardi B files a fresh divorce suit over alleged infidelity

One of the most talked-about hip-hop pairs, Cardi B and Offset, is set to break the tie over infidelity, as the duo have initiated the process for their divorce.

Cardi B and Offset reportedly married secretly in 2017 and announced their union publicly months later. They quickly became one of the most admired hip-hop couples; their love story was, more or less, a whirlwind from the start.

In July 2018, they welcomed their first child, Kulture Kiari Cephus. The couple appeared to have enjoyed marital bliss until 2020 when Cardi B first filed a suit seeking Splitsville but later reconsidered and retracted the suit. 

Irrespective of their persistent attempts to salvage their marriage, it seems the couple ultimately couldn’t bridge the gap created by their differences, as Cardi B initiated a fresh divorce process yesterday, August 1st.

In recent interviews, Cardi B opened up about the intricate challenges of balancing her demanding career with her family life, which might have also negatively impacted the relationship. However, an insider close to them reveals that that reason does not occasion their imminent separation.

The most recent filing indicates a more decisive approach from Cardi, who appears poised to prioritize her children and career. While the couple has previously reconciled, A source close to the family suggests that this instance may differ, as Cardi B is purportedly not contemplating a reunion.

In a very unusual turn of events, Cardi B took to her social media handle a few hours after filing for divorce from her spouse, Offset, to announce that she was pregnant with their third child. The yellow rapper, however, didn’t seem bothered as she shared a stunning picture and a mind-blowing caption.

 She wrote “With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power! Reminded me that I can have it all! You’ve reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion!

“I love you so much and can not wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish, what you pushed me to do,” she continued. “It’s so much easier taking life’s twists, turns and test laying down, but you, your brother and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through!”
