The man identified as Darris Straughter, one of the attendees of the show, has taken legal action against the rapper, claiming that the event did not accommodate individuals with disabilities, despite prior assurances.

During the lawsuit, Straughter expressed his excitement about attending Ross’s car show, which was advertised as a highly anticipated event for car enthusiasts. However, his experience took a negative turn when the wheelchair-accessible shuttle bus he had been assured of never showed up, resulting in him being stranded in the parking lot for several hours.

Straughter said he went to extraordinary measures to make it to the event, recounting how he sold his car to fund the expenses of transportation, accommodation, and a ticket to the show. He further claimed that he had contacted the event organizers a fortnight ahead of time to secure suitable arrangements for his wheelchair, and received confirmation that a shuttle service would be provided. Despite these assurances, Straughter lamented that the promised shuttle failed to materialize, compelling him to give away his ticket and return to his hotel, crestfallen and disheartened by the experience.

According to Straughter, in addition to his other complaints, the event organizers had assured attendees that they would receive refunds if they were unable to access the event. However, he asserts that he did not receive any further communication or reimbursement as promised.

In the ongoing legal dispute, Straughter, who is being represented by attorney John Hoover Esq., has filed a lawsuit against Rick Ross. The lawsuit alleges that Rick Ross is in breach of contract, engaged in unjust enrichment, and violated the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA). The lawsuit aims to obtain damages and requests a court order that mandates future car shows to provide proper access for individuals with disabilities.

The annual car and bike show hosted by the rapper occurred in Fayetteville, Georgia, on June 1st. Reports suggest that the event proceeded seamlessly, with an abundance of joyful interactions, warm embraces, and laughter shared with one of the most prominent figures in the hip-hop industry.

However, many of the attendees were not satisfied with the experience. Many flooded the rapper’s comment section of X to express their dissatisfaction, with many asking for a refund from the event organisers.
