Chidinma doesn’t deserve the hate meted on her, new Miss SA Mia Le Roux tells South Africans
Mia Le Roux, who recently won the Miss South Africa title, has spoken out in support of Chidinma Adetshina amidst the controversy surrounding her involvement in the South African beauty pageant.
In a recent interview with Newzroom Afrika, Mia Le Roux, the newly crowned Miss South Africa, spoke out in support of Chidinma Adetshina, a former contestant in the pageant. Mia emphasized the importance of unity among Africans and called for solidarity and support among all nations on the continent.
Le Roux responded to the criticism and negativity aimed at Adetshina, emphasizing that she truly deserved her place in the competition. “It was incredibly difficult for all of us because we have personal connections with Chichi and hold her in high regard. We firmly believe that she did not deserve this treatment, knowing how exceptional, influential, and stunning she is in her own way. Chichi unquestionably earned her position in the Miss South Africa pageant,” Mia expressed.
As the current titleholder of Miss South Africa, Sasha-Lee Olivier Le Roux has vocally expressed her commitment to championing inclusivity and fostering unity across the nation. She emphasized that her platform is centred on promoting unity. “I strongly oppose any form of division and believe that we can do better in supporting and embracing one another. Experiencing exclusion is unacceptable, and we must work towards a more inclusive society.
Following the competition, Le Roux made these comments in response to the extensive criticism and backlash that was aimed at Adetshina.
