Upon receiving international clearance, Wolves have signed the Spanish international striker Diego Costa to a contract that will last through the conclusion of the 2022–23 season.
The Spanish international, who is close to playing 500 games in football, has 12 major awards to his record, including two Premier League trophies from a remarkable period spent with Chelsea. He is also known for his high-caliber goal-scoring.
The 33-year-old’s- time spent in London was comparable to his two trophy-filled stints at Atletico Madrid, and now, after passing his medical examination at Compton Park on Thursday, he brings that knowledge and attacking savviness to Bruno Lage’s team.
The striker scored in an FA Cup match against the Blues at Molineux back in February 2017, and those three years at Chelsea are well remembered for their wholehearted performances, full of grit and drive.
