Drake, J.Cole announces Joint tour in 2024

Legendary Canadian rapper and singer, Drake is set to embark on a joint tour with famous American rapper and producer, J. Cole in 2024 following a huge success which they achieved together with the release of their No. 1 hit “First Person Shooter.”

This comes barely a month after Drake announced that he would be taking a year off from making music in order to focus on his health.

Recall that Drake, in the early morning hours of the day of the release of his latest album “For All the Dogs,” while speaking on his SiriusXM Radio show “Table For One,” had reportedly said that he was unlikely to create new songs for the next year or so, in order to focus on his health.

“I probably won’t make music for a little bit,” he said. “I need to focus on my health first and foremost … I’ve been having the craziest problems for years with my stomach. I need to get right,” he said.

Continuing, he said, “I have a lot of other things that I’d like to focus on, so I’m going to lock the door on the studio for a little bit. I don’t even know what ‘a little bit’ is. Maybe a year or something, maybe a little longer.”

Meanwhile, Drake and J. Cole’s planned tour was made known yesterday by Drake as he spoke about an upcoming leg of his “It’s All a Blur Tour” comprising a total of 22 shows out of which he will be joined by Cole on 18 of those shows.

He revealed that the outings on which J. Cole would be joining him are termed the “It’s All a Blur — Big As the What? Tour” afterwhich he disclosed that the blockbuster tour is produced by Live Nation and sponsored by Cash App and Visa.

According to him, Cash App has had a big presence in arena rap lately, with a commercial starring Kendrick Lamar playing between acts during the rapper’s recent jaunt.

Cole and Drake will begin their co-headlining tour on January 18 in Denver, Colorado, and Cole will continue with the trek through March 10 in Lexington, Kentucky. The 6 God will perform the final four shows of the tour — including a Long Island show just 7.7 miles from Cole’s alma mater, St. John’s University — without the North Carolina rhymer.

Tickets for the shows will be available on Wednesday (November 15) in a Cash App debit card presale (a move Drizzy also did earlier in the tour), with a general sale to follow two days later at 11 a.m. local time.
