“How motherhood has changed me” – Simi

Nigerian singer, Simi recently spoke on how incredibly, motherhood changed her and it’s nothing away from honesty.

The singer who was vulnerable to the truth, spilled that motherhood changed her from who she was before.

According to the mother of one, she outlined that immediately after she welcomed her daughter Deja, she felt different from the woman she was.

Her words:

“Yeah, intensely. I remember saying that I felt like the woman that I was the day I gave birth was very different from the woman I was the day before.”

She spoke more about how she has realised what life inflicts most often and how she has coped to manage and embrace it.

Her words:

“Until you see this human being that you’re now suddenly completely responsible for and you have to make choices about, you don’t really understand the gravity of that situation.”

“And it has definitely changed my life in so many ways. As a woman, as a person, as an artist, as a friend, as different things, as a wife even,”

She also acknowledged her husband, Adekunle Gold for making it easier for her to experience motherhood.

“It definitely helps that I have a supportive husband where I don’t feel like I have to do it all by myself” she said
