“I wish I switched to Gospel music earlier” – Gospel musician, Chidimma Ekile
Former Nigerian Afrobeat sensation now turned a Gospel icon, Chidimma Ekile has asserted that she wished she switched to Gospel Music early enough.
The Nigerian veteran singer made this wish while portraying an interview where she discussed her musical life and relationship with her colleagues.

According to her, if she had switched to Gospel music early enough she would have attained an improved status to what she is today. She however outlined that she doesn’t regret switching to Gospel late in her career.
Her words:
“Of course, I wish I had made the switch earlier. If I had started this earlier, only God knows where I would have been by now. But, at the end of the day, all things worked together for good and at the right time.”
Speaking about how she would love to see the Gospel genre in the future, she asserted:
“The industry has evolved, and it has got really better from what it used to be. However, one thing that I would love to see get better is in the area of raising new talents, and encouraging young people who want to get into the gospel music space.”
