“Joe Igbokwe, your papa, Elder wey mumu”, Rudeboy hit back at critic over P-Square split

Paul Okoye, also known as Rudeboy, has put aside every form of regard accruing to elders and decided to hit back at the APC chieftain, Joe Igbokwe, who couldn’t keep silent any longer over the continued fracas between the twin brothers, Peter and Paul Okoye, professionally known as P-Square.

Joe Igbokwe, former Special Adviser for Drainage & Water Resources to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, took to his Facebook page on Sunday to angrily bash the P-square brothers for their inability to settle their differences, which have consistently put the blood brothers asunder. The APC chieftain described it as “Shameful” that the twin brothers can not forgive one another, regardless of what betides.

The author (Igbokwe) criticised them for their inability to reason together, work together, and be in charge of their personal and professional lives, including their marital lives, stating that “even their wives are not helping matters. Igbokwe even asked if they don’t have elders in their family who could help them resolve their differences amicably without escalating to separation. He further described their situation as “success without Brian” and “Education without character.”

Rudeboy, unable to contain the elder statesman’s criticism, decided to hit him back and advise him to focus on rebuilding the country he allegedly contributed to scattering. The singer didn’t forget that he’s an elder; however, he didn’t scrutinize his choice of words to suit addressing the elder as he rather tagged him as “Elder Wey Mumu”.

Taking to his Instagram story on Sunday, He wrote, “Joe Igbokwe, your Papa. Elder wey mumu. Focus on the country wey you put mouth scatter. People are hungry.”

The P-square brothers have been making another headline recently, but not for a good reason this time. They have reportedly split again for the third time in less than eight years. Rudeboy confirmed their recent separation in an interview with City FM on Thursday.

The singer narrated what led to their various separations, noting that the first one, which happened in 2017, was because his brother (Mr P) was too conscious of what people were saying about them. He said his brother, who was known for playing a major role in dancing rather than singing, decided that he would start singing just to prove a point, and eventually, they encountered a problem with that in one of their music.

According to him, Mr P still occasioned the recent separation. He stated that his brother once petitioned the EFCC to investigate his sources of income, insinuating he was into cybercrime.
