Keke Palmer obtains sole custody of her son, court orders ex-boyfriend to turn over his gun
American actress, singer and television host, Keke Palmer has been granted sole custody of her son with her ex-, boyfriend, Darius Jackson following a court order.
The court also ordered Jackson to turn over his firearms after Palmer, in her petition for the restraining order, revealed that he had a handgun and had threatened to harm himself if she left him.
“He promised to kill himself with a gun if I left him,” she said.
Palmer who dated Jackson from 2021 to October 2023 when she finally called it quits, is accussing her ex and the father of their son of domestic violence.
It would be recalled that video stills of Jackson allegedly abusing Palmer have reportedly circulated the internet leaving fans in uproar.
However, in a temporary restraining court order obtained by Palmer against Jackson and which was seen by newsmen, Jackson must stay 100 yards away from Palmer and their 8-month-old son as the actress was granted sole custody until further notice.
As part of the order, the judge said Jackson had 24 hours, after being served with the order, to turn over his weapon to local law enforcement.
A hearing has been scheduled for December 5 where Palmer can argue to make the order permanent.
