Prominent actor Ireti passes away in a Delta hospital

Ireti, an actress most known for her work on Fuji House of Commotion, has passed away, Oluwasolamipe (Sola) Onayiga, a seasoned Nollywood actress known as Ireti, has passed away.

The stage and screen actress passed away early yesterday morning. She rose to fame for playing Ireti in the television shows “Checkmate” and “Fuji House of Commotion.” 

Dr. Shaibu Husseini, a renowned educator and arts practitioner, broke the news of Onayiga’s passing on social media.

“Auntie Sola, who is best known for living delightfully the role of Ireti (aka Cooking Practical) in the defunct television sitcom ‘Checkmate’, reportedly passed on this morning,” he said.

Ameh reportedly fell unconscious while visiting a toy store run by an oil business and his family.
A source who requested anonymity stated yesterday that the actress passed away in Warri, Delta State, around 11 p.m. on Sunday.
