Sadiq Umar, Super Eagles striker, has been signed by Spanish LaLiga team Real Sociedad from Almeria. After Mutiu Adepoju, he is the second Nigerian to join Real Sociedad.

The Super Eagles player has been one of Spain’s most prolific strikers, and some of Europe’s powerhouses have shown a lot of interest in him.
The 25-year-old hitman has also been linked to Newcastle, Sevilla, Borussia Dortmund, Villarreal, and others.
Umar had a stellar Laliga Smartbank campaign last year, scoring 18 goals in 36 games to help Rojiblancos win the league championship.
This summer, Real Sociedad lost their workhorse Alexander Isak to Newcastle in a €65 million transfer juggernaut.
However, they have added the quick and powerful Nigerian international to strengthen their attacking line.
The estimated value of the transaction is €25 million plus add-ons. Also anticipated is that the contract would last for at least four years.
Umar has had a tremendous start to his maiden Laliga season, scoring twice in three games.
