Soludo: My daughter makes ‘Akwete’ fabrics I always wear.
The local “Akwete” fabrics that Anambra Governor Chukwuma Soludo wears are all made by his daughter Adaora, according to him.
In order to promote locally created fabrics, her daughter organized the Anambra Fashion Expo, 2022, which was held over the weekend at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Awka.
The immediate governor, Chief Willie Obiano, was responsible for the design and construction of the 12,000-seat ICC.
Products made in Nigeria, according to the former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), stimulate the economy and create jobs.
The governor claimed that his daughter generally designed and sewed all of the local clothing he wore, particularly the Akwete, and that his shoes were made in Ogbunike.
Soludo said: “Our primary job is to promote anything made in Anambra. When my daughter was 12 years old, she insisted that we must buy her a sewing machine.
” We did. Little did we know that she will end up being a fashion person; notwithstanding her degrees.”
