Tems shows solidarity with nationwide protest, postpones her music video release
Afrobeat Diva Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has shown her solidarity with the ongoing nationwide protest as she announces the postponement of her latest music video release.
The Grammy-winning star took to her X (formerly called Twitter) handle to announce to her fans that she will no longer release her music video as earlier scheduled due to the ongoing bad economic and anti-government protests in the country. The singer also prayed that the people’s voices be heard.
“Out of respect for the ongoing protest at home, I have decided to postpone the release of Burning music video. Praying for the safety of those outside at this time. May the voice of the people be heard,” the post reads.
Recall that several artists have reacted to the nationwide hunger protest currently ongoing in the country. Among those who have aired their views are Vector, Omah Lay, Adekunle Gold, Spyro, Mr Macaroni, Iyabo Ojo, Konstance etc.
