Tiwa Savage reveals man behind “Somebody’s son’ hit track”

The man who inspired Tiwatope Savage, Tiwa Savage, to write her famous song “Somebody’s Son” has been revealed.

The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter said this during her Saturday night set at the BudXLagos FIFA Kick-Off Concert at the Eko Hotel in Lagos.
She took a break in her performance to explain to her fans the story behind the popular song.
She said: “I’m going to tell you guys a tale. When I wrote this song, a lot of people said, ‘This is a sure hit, but only girls are going to sing this song; boys are not going to sing it. They said, “Tiwa, you’re taking a chance by releasing it as your debut single.”
“I told them not to worry; one day, I’ll tell this story,’ As you can see, the son I was referring to is truly Jesus Christ. Indeed, whether you’re a guy or a woman, we’re all seeking for the son of somebody, aren’t we?
