UEFA have excluded Russia from Euro 2024.

Russia has been suspended from the 2024 European Championship, according to UEFA.

Days after its invasion of Ukraine, Russia was banned from participating in international competitions by both UEFA and FIFA in February.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport dismissed a Russian appeal on the judgments.

Also, UEFA chose to allow Belarus into the 2024 Euro draw despite a government request from tournament host Germany to have the team removed due to Belarus being a Russian military ally.

UEFA noted the fact that the Russian invasion of Ukraine “had been assisted by access supplied from the neighboring territory of Belarus” when imposing the Belarus sanctions four months ago.

Additional political choices that restrict the Euro 2024 draw include extending long-standing UEFA bans on matches between teams from Azerbaijan and Armenia or from Spain and Gibraltar, as well as one that prevents both Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina from playing Kosovo.
