“You didn’t raise me to settle for less” Ayra Starr calls out Headies Awards organisers for disrespecting the feminine phase

Following the heated view of the 2023 Headies Award, Ayra Starr has called out the organisation for disrespecting the feminine phase of the Award ceremony.

Ayra Starr surpassed her nominees last night and emerged as the winner of ‘The Best Female Artist’ category. She was celebrated vastly by her fans but she was quite odd with how the music Award Organisers portrayed their phase.

Ayra Starr was not presented with the plaque on the stage which didn’t slide well with her emotion. This is however the show’s reputation as they have denied the feminine’s glory on several occasions.

Ayra starr who was fuming took to her Twitter handle and called out the organisation bidding further her grief.

Her words:

“I will never be grateful for winning a category that wasn’t even deemed fit to be announced on stage ! Best female artist na beans ? We work hard, every single one of us ! I’ve seen Tiwa record 4 hit songs in the same night , Tems breaths and lives for music , we didn’t deserve such nonchalance! Nigeria , you didn’t raise me to settle for less”
