Francis Ngannou says Mike Tyson’s role in Anthony Joshua fight
Famous heavyweight contender Francis Ngannou revealed the role Mike Tyson is playing in his ongoing preparation.
After nearly beating WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury last year, Ngannou is about to face his second opponent in pro boxing. Having been helped last time by legendary veteran Mike Tyson, it is expected that Ngannou will be getting some lessons from the American ahead of March 8.
Ngannou who left the UFC last year famously called Mike Tyson the greatest boxer ever. Tyson was seen in videos training Ngannou before his successful debut, and also appeared with him in public.
But Ngannou mentioned during his conversation with All Out Fighting that Mike Tyson was not the one training him ahead of his bout with Anthony Joshua.
When he was asked about Mike Tyson’s role in his training, he said the man had visited his camp.
‘Yeah, multiple, like three times he came in or something like that. He was more advising, he came to watch our training more than three times. He would watch the training and give me some advice.’
It has been promised Ngannou and Joshua that the winner of their match will get the opportunity to fight for the undisputed world heavyweight title.
The undisputed heavyweight bout itself comes up on May 18 at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
