Tyson Fury and Oleksander Usyk will contend for the undisputed heavyweight title on February 17.

Last undisputed world heavyweight champion, Lennox Lewis, criticized Joshua’s matchup with Ngannou, and disagrees with matching the winner of the duo’s fight with whoever wins the undisputed world heavyweight bout.

This criticism made some ask Frank Warren whether Joshua should compete for the undisputed world heavyweight title if he beat Ngannou.

‘No, I don’t,’ Warren said to Seconds Out. ‘Zhang is undefeated. I’d like to see him in with AJ. But Zhang has to get through Parker. They’re all good fights.

‘One thing is for sure, all the fights are happening and we’re spoilt for choice and that’s down to Riyadh Season and long may it continue ’cause every one of them is a great fight.’

Warren said he would prefer China’s Zheilei Zhang to get the privilege.

‘I think that Zhang should get a shot at the full title, he’s the interim champion and it’s a tough fight, Parker has suddenly found some momentum after being beaten in a very good fight by Joe [Joyce] then Joe loses to Zhang.

‘It’s a bit of a merry-go-round at the moment but they’re all good fights and everybody is jockeying for the position to fight the winner of [the undisputed].’

But whatever Warren thinks will not affect the fights.
