Ryan Garcia boasts big ahead of likely bout with Devin Haney
Ryan Garcia who is yet to lift a world title submitted a big boast to Bill Haney, the father of his prospective opponent, Devin Haney.
This happened at a time when both boxers are still to put pen to paper.
Speaking to FightHype not long ago, Ryan Garcia said the following concerning Haney’s father who was also Haney’s trainer:
‘He’s going to have three chances to stop the fight. The first one, if he doesn’t do it, then who knows what’s going to happen. So I’m telling you you’re going to have three chances to help your son out.
‘We’re going to see if you really love your son. I’m going to give you that look like you better stop it.
‘This is not going to be right for Devin. You better pray he gets knocked out cold so he doesn’t feel what he’s going to feel.’
Haney who became a super-lightweight champion last year after ruling as the undisputed lightweight champion, will have to defend his new title against Garcia if they signed a deal. Garcia promised to surprise everyone by what he would do during the yet unscheduled bout.
‘People will be shocked, I will not be shocked, Devin will be destroyed and his daddy will have to help him up.
‘I’m telling Bill this, I’m telling him now, and I’m probably going to have something for him later.’
It will be quite noisy if Garcia does that.
