Teddy Atlas gives rational opinion on who wins between Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou

Respectable boxing trainer, Teddy Atlas, has given a sensible opinion on who would win the future bout between Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou.

Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou will have his second pro boxing bout in March, having nearly beaten WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury in the last.

Many still think the new boxer was underrated by Fury before the match, but that Joshua will be the man to show Ngannou how it felt to dance with a heavyweight boxer.

Speaking on The Fight Podcast, Teddy Atlas said the following:

‘You could look at it and say OK now forewarned and fore-prepared. He’s prepared mentally unlike Fury to take [Ngannou] serious, stay on the outside, counter punch and stay in control.

‘He can show the difference between a polished boxer, a finished product, a guy who has had all kinds of amateur and pro experience up against a guy who doesn’t have that experience a boxing ring. It’ll wind up being a fight where he can win in a hands down way.’

However, Atlas considered Ngannou’s ability.

‘I’m not so quick to say that right now. Ngannou is a great athlete he is confident, he has the mental toughness and the belief in himself.

‘Joshua is a guy some people think is a little chinny. We know Ngannou can punch. If he can put his hand on that chin, who knows?’

If Ngannou beats Joshua, it would look like a bad night to many professional boxers.
