After Joshua and Wilder knocked out Robert Helenius, fans have been desiring to see both face each other in the ring. The negotiation for the wild contest has taken so much time that it started causing some problems. But it seems the drawing is finally taking shape, as talks have begun with representatives in Saudi Arabia for the resources that would bout a better reality.

The winner in this fight is expected to fight Tyson Fury for the Heavyweight WBC belt. Both fighters have been WBC champions; Anthony Joshua has won it two times, while his expected opponent Deontay Wilder has done it once.

Joshua Wilder’s promoter, Mr. Hearn has been travelling around to make thing work out, and says he expects the fight to take place.

Among those who have reacted to the news of this expected event was the very Robert Helenius both fighters had knocked out.

‘Well it’s hard to say, and it’s a little bit too early,’ Robert said during reporters. ‘I haven’t even thought about that yet, but I think it would be an interesting fight.

Of course, against Wilder the one round that it took it was also like an accident. I didn’t think he could fight on his back foot and he trained that, so he’s also adapting boxer.

It’s an interesting question. It would be a very, very successful fight for both I think.’

Yet from his statement he seemed to tilt a bit towards Wilder, since he seemed to imply that he did not train well before fighting Anthony Joshua, but that Wilder, as is already quoted, won by pure skill and good training.

‘Afterwards, I feel a little bit sorry that I didn’t train for a longer time. I would have been in better shape and could have gone all rounds with him.

‘I felt good in the fight in the first six rounds. But after that, the reaction time and everything, it goes down. I just had like four rounds sparring in the training camp.

‘I have nothing but respect for him. He’s a brilliant fighter and I have only good things to say about him, no bad blood with him.’

There were plans for Tyson Fury to bounce in the ring with Olesandr Usyk in the Middle East towards this year’s ending, but the whole thing ended as a waste of time. fans do not want the same story to be told about this expected event, but both opponents can only accept to fight if the deal is beneficial enough, since they both have a crew to pay and medical expenses to settle.

Before either of them would get to meet Fury however, given the plans work out in the end, Tyson Fury would have to fight Francis Ngannou on 8th October, 2023 in Saudi Arabia. Now Ngannou was once a UFC champion.
