Arsenal’s Ben White talked about his new role at the back ranks of Arsenal’s first team squad, saying that ‘If you want to play for Arsenal, you’ve got to be technically gifted, strong and fast.’

The Gunners are to travel to Sheffield United tomorrow for a Premier League match, expected to appear on the pitch as the future winners.

Speaking not long ago to Arsenal’s press in a comment published on arsenal.com, White had the following to say of the new role handed him by their coach, Mikel Arteta:

‘It wasn’t really a conversation to be fair. There were a lot of instructions of where I need to be and when.

‘When you have Mikel as your manager it’s quite easy and he makes it simple for you. If you want to play for Arsenal, you’ve got to be technically gifted, strong and fast.

‘I’m comfortable playing there but it’s completely different. Playing centre-back and right-back I only have to look forward and never worry about what’s behind me.’

Arsenal is in hot pursuit of Man City and Liverpool as the Premier League plot thickens.
