Former English player David Beckham is once again excluded from the list of those to be made knights during the New Year’s Honours, after emails containing Beckham’s angry reactions at being snubbed in the past were leaked.

The full list of candidates to be knighted by King Charles during the New Year’s Honours is prepared, but Beckham’s name was left out once again.

David Beckham received an OBE from his former monarch Queen Elizabeth long ago, but has been hungry for knighthood.

OBE stands for Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire. It is the second highest ranking award in the Order of the British Empire.

The OBE is given to individuals who have made significant contributions to the arts and sciences, as well as those who have provided exceptional service to the community.

Beckham’s qualification for this title was his services in the English football team where he was a nice player and later became the captain.

Some of the errors in the allegedly leaked emails were as follows:

‘I expected nothing less. It’s a disgrace to be honest and if I was American I would of [sic] got something like this 10 years ago,’ he reportedly wrote.

Beckham was also said to call those in charge of including his name on the list ‘unappreciative c***s’.

However, it seems that one of the things that might keep him from the list of knights is his friendliness with Qatar where he had accepted an ambassadorial role that will potentially pay him lots of money.

The UK might have viewed such a move as a disregard for Qatar’s snubbing of their version of human rights. Homosexuality, bestiality, gay marriage and some other things supported by the LGBTQ are still crimes in Qatar, and punishments for them are still scary.

David Beckham might make do with the money he will receive from the Qatari leaders, or in the future, even a title. This alleged move by the Brits, if true, could alienate one of their respectable figures further.
