Dortmund trails to Mainz, hands Bundesliga to Bayern Munich, fans left heartbroken
Dortmund’s draw with the underdogs trailed their league triumph in over 10 years of spell depriving them of their long-term league cup cravings.
Mainz who was buzzing in flame took an early lead after Hancheolsen fired in a beauty in the 15th minute of the game that left Dortmund terrified.

They however overcame pressure and vastly dominated the game resulting in a penalty plea, Sebastian Haller missed from the spot.
Mainz took this advantage and punished them by doubling the lead from Onisiwo’s incredible 24th-minute goal.
While all seemed to have swerved heated, Dortmund astonishingly bounced back from a 2-0 draught from Gurrierro and Sule’s late goals. Even though they levelled the game they were left heartbroken as Bayern Munich surpassed them to clinch the league with 2 points margin.
This came shortly after Bayern Munich thrashed Köln in a 2-1 victory to secure their place at the top of the league leaving Dortmund in a shallow of Agony.
This marks Bayern Munich’s consecutive 11 years of Bundesliga triumph spell adding to the Giant status they have attained since the peak of their legacy.
