Kylian Mbappe reveals why a striker beats two defenders easily
Set-to-leave PSG player Kylian Mbappe recently said why it was easy for a good striker to beat two defenders as he usually did.
The tall Frenchman has been dangerous in his opponents’ box for a long time and is improving.
In a video shared by psg.fr in which he discussed his best goals at PSG, the striker said what showed the luxury he was enjoying in the pitch among the PSG squad, and the mentality that usually helped him beat two strikers when they attacked in unison.
First of all, Mbappe revealed that each game he played at the club determined the number of goals he could score in the match. There were always tough matches between his squad and foreign teams, and defenders on the other side know the man to watch out for.
However, the French talisman disclosed he always hoped in the masterful passes he received from squad members who would get the ball to him no matter where he was.
When time came to get the ball past the goal line, there were usually defenders and the goalkeeper. It seemed Mbappe’s favourite situation was being attacked by two defenders — since he added that two defenders attacking in unison were around 50% effective. This makes them as good as one man in his eyes, and some of his goals were scored in that situation.
The player later added he would miss playing with Argentine eight-time Balon d’Or winner, Lionel Messi, who had showered him with beautiful passes in the days they shared the dressing room at France.
