Neil MacFarlane: ‘Val Adedokun deserved the contract’
The head coach of Brentford’s B team commented recently after Val Adedokun extended his stay with the division, saying that the 21-year old deserved the contract.
Adedokun who joined the side in 2021 has now lengthened his stay to at least 2026.
Speaking to Brentfordfc.com, MacFarlane said the following about the Irishman:
‘Val has been a fantastic defender for the B team during my time here. We have seen him grow and develop season after season and, this particular campaign, we have given him the captaincy and he has carried that so well.
‘He is a quiet leader but has great standards in his performance levels which have been extremely high.
‘He has been able to contribute at the other end of the pitch too, with big goals and assists to add to his defensive qualities.
‘He deserves his new contract and I’m delighted for him, and we want to see him keep improving and progressing with us.’
The skipper who formerly played for Malahide United and Dundalk FC will hope to make a men’s team in the near future.
